By changing the age to 50, it puts more women at risk, and with the non-inclusion of MRIs for high risk women – they put us in a no-win situation. We can’t get mammograms till we are 50, but by that time, cancer could very well be in our bodies, and by the time we get the mammogram, we are not able to get an MRI, because we are now considered “high-risk”. How is that for double jeopardy? Either way, our breasts are in danger!

Have you had your Breasts Checked Lately?

I am a living testimony to being a Breast Cancer Winner! Over 12 years ago I was diagnosed with this disease after finding a lump the size of a 50-cent piece in my breast. I had a radical mastectomy and have been doing checkups for years now. Breast Cancer is not to be treated with ignorance or pretend it won’t happen to you. My mother did not have Breast Cancer, and I am the only one in my family to have ever had it.
